Red Ribbon Days 2017
October 23– 31, 2017

Monday (Oct. 23) - “Pledge to Be Drug Free.” -- Opening will be at the regular time where we will kick off Red Ribbon Week.  Students will create a Pledge to be Drug Free banner. We will get a large white roll of paper and write across the top “Pledge to be Drug Free”, students will trace their hand and put their name in the middle. We will post the banner down stairs Monday afternoon in the opening foyer.

Tuesday (Oct. 24) – “Sock it to Drugs: - Everyone can wear colorful, crazy socks.  At the Morning Meeting, everyone can roll up their pants to show off their crazy socks. 

Wednesday (Oct. 25) – Wear Red Day and “Shade Out Drugs” – Because we have Mass in the morning, students will wear their usual red but after Mass everyone can wear their “shades” during the day. 
WEDNESDAY STAFF LUNCHEON – “This Spud’s for You!” – Potluck luncheon upstairs during lunch time.  Baked Potato Bar – potatoes will be supplied and everyone sign up to bring different toppings, dessert, drinks, etc.  Sign-up to follow.

Thursday (Oct. 26) – “Team up Against Drugs.”   Students may wear their favorite team gear, jerseys, t-shirts, socks, hats, scarves, etc.  Minico High School football team members and cheerleaders will arrive at 12:30.  They will stay approximately an hour.   We’ll have an assembly (Kinder – 6th grade) with them where they will share a positive, drug-free message in the upper room then go out to play when they are done speaking.  Outside play with the MHS students will count as recess time for that afternoon. 

Friday (Oct. 27) – No School.  Parent/Teacher Conferences from 8:00-12:00.

Monday (Oct. 30) – “Hugs – Not Drugs” – Everyone bring their favorite stuffed animal or teddy bear to carry throughout the day for giving hugs.  We will have “All Hallows Eve” parties at 10:00 for PK3.

Tuesday (Oct. 31) – “Spirit Wear Tuesday” in the morning.  We will have “All Hallows Eve” parties at 10:00 for PK2 and PK5.   “Say Boo to Drugs” and wear costumes after last recess for the “All Hallows Eve” parties in K-6.

Wednesday (Nov. 1) -- We will have the “All Saints’ Day” Mass at 8:40.
