at St. Nicholas Catholic School

At our school, the safety of your children is our utmost concern, and we are committed to creating a secure and nurturing environment for all students. To ensure that every child is protected, we require all parents and volunteers to obtain an account through Virtus.org which our Diocese of Boise will complete a background check. Then participate in a Safe Environment Face to Face Training. Every other year complete a training video on Virtus.org.


Together, we can create a secure atmosphere where children can thrive, learn, and grow, knowing they are in a safe and caring community. Your cooperation and dedication to these safety measures make a significant difference in the lives of our children.

  • Step #1- Background Check through Virtus.org

    We ask parents to complete a background check, which is essential for maintaining a safe environment at our school. This background check, processed through our Diocese, helps us ensure that all individuals interacting with our students have undergone thorough screening. By following through with these requirements, you are playing a crucial role in upholding our commitment to safety. 

    *Cost of background check is $25 (billed through FACTS account)

  • Step #2- Face to Face Training

    This program is designed to educate individuals on recognizing, preventing, and addressing abuse, creating a community of vigilance and care. By attending this workshop, parents not only gain valuable insights but also reinforce the shared responsibility we all have in safeguarding our children.

  • Step #3- Become a Driving Chaperone (Optional)

    If you plan to help be a chaperone and drive our students at St. NIcholas Catholic School, please make sure you have completed the steps above and fill out the form below with required documents attached:

    -Copy of Drivers License

    -Vehicle Registration

    -Insurance Declartaion Page
