St. Nicholas Catholic School Fall Auction & Gala

The School Board hosts an annual event called the St. Nicholas Catholic School Fall Auction and Gala. This fun evening features a Live Auction, Silent Auction, prize drawing and 50/50 cash drawing. Each class creates a one-of-a-kind project that is auctioned off during the event. We are blessed by generous donations to the auctions and prize drawing from the community and parents. The money raised goes toward the general operating fund and is vital to the operation of our school. Each family is required to sell door tickets and drawing tickets for the event. This event provides many opportunities for families to earn hours to meet their annual volunteer requirement. Families wishing to donate to the auction or drawing will receive one hour of volunteer time for every $15 donation.

Basque Dinner

The third Saturday in March, the St. Nicholas Catholic Women in conjunction with the school, hosts the annual Basque Dinner featuring a traditional Basque meal served family style. The main course is lamb served with garbanzo beans, green beans, rice, salad, rolls and dessert. It's a fun night with auction, raffle and music for dancing. Approximately half of the money raised goes into the school's general operating fund. Each family is required to sell door tickets and raffle tickets for the event. This event provides many opportunities for families to earn hours to meet their annual volunteer requirement. Families wishing to donate to the auction or raffle will receive one hour of volunteer time for every $15 donation.

Jog-a-long

This annual event is sponsored by the PTC (Parent Teacher Club) and is held the first Friday in May. Students have one hour to run, walk or jog around the church block while volunteers track their laps. Prior to the event students secure pledges from friends and family for the number of laps they complete. Each student collecting over $100 gets to choose a prize starting with the top dollar winner. Each participant will recieve a small prize or treat for participating. Trophies are also awarded to the students completing the most laps in their category. The money raised goes to the PTC to support student and school activities throughout the year.
